And as of this July, we are proud to announce that Nina Barton, formerly of Kraft Heinz, has been named the new CEO of the combined businesses. A seasoned consumer brand and e-commerce leader, Barton brings her more than two decades of experience accelerating consumer businesses.

NATROL LLC PURCHASE BY NEW MOUNTAIN CAPITAL

We are pleased and proud to announce our acquisition by high profile investment firm New Mountain Capital, New York City.

Representing an exciting new era for Natrol, the acquisition is a welcome opportunity us to properly fuel the now three-year expansion of our high quality, innovative health and wellness product lines into both the U.S. online and retail markets, as well as internationally through our vast network of retail and online global distributors.

NATROL EXPANDS ITS LINE OF IMMUNE HEALTH PRODUCTS

In addition to numerous Immune Health support products offered over the years, in 2020 Natrol innovated new immunity-boosting products, and brought several discontinued supplements back to the manufacturing line due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, high demand for immune health products triggered the re-introduction of Natrol Chewable Zinc as well as Natrol Immune Boost. Zinc has long been touted for its immune-boosting properties. Immune Boost is a powerful immunity-boosting supplement formulated with clinically tested super food Epi-Cor®, Vitamins C & D3, Selenium and Zinc.

NATROL PRODUCTION FACILITIES EARN HIGHEST NSF GRADE

Last year, NSF rolled out an expanded list of manufacturing standards for dietary supplements manufacturing. At the same time, they changed from a “Pass/Fail” to an “A-F” audit grading system.

After a year of dedicated teamwork and unwavering support from leadership, our operations team successfully made the changes necessary to meet the new requirements and has received an “A”—the highest grade possible from NSF. Congratulations to the team!

HOW HAS NATROL HAS BEEN AFFECTED BY COVID-19?

As people around the world seek immunity-boosting supplements to help reduce the risk of catching the virus or lessening its impact if caught, Natrol as an Essential Business, has continued production non-stop since the outbreak of COVID-19.

From our inception, Natrol has produced Immune Health products as part of our mission to help improve global health and wellness. Because we remain committed to producing high quality, effective VMS to help boost immunity and stave off illness, we have implemented rigorous safety measures throughout our entire operation, starting from well before shelter-in-place orders were issued.

NATROL HOSTS 1^st HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR

Earlier this spring, we hosted our first employee Health and Wellness Fair. The purpose of the event was to help educate employees on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and health and wellness best practices. Featured were health screenings, emergency preparedness, information on community resources and nutrition, and weight management.

In light of the current Coronavirus 2019 pandemic, the fair couldn’t have been more timely. The event was a big success with employees giving positive feedback. Natrol intends to continue the program (when it’s safe to do so) and possibly extend it to the community.

REDZONE TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTED TO IMPROVE MANUFACTURING PERFORMANCE

We are pleased to announce that the Redzone Digital Production System was successfully rolled out in our Natrol manufacturing facilities in Q4 2019 with the goal of continually improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). With the Redzone implementation, Natrol employees are now able to see performance detail in real time, analyze process issues quickly, and bring in resources to resolve production issues far faster and more efficiently than ever before.

The Redzone productivity improvement software installation is a direct result of listening to our employees. Based on their input, we’ve been able to take action to help improve Natrol’s overall productivity, product quality, and ultimately their satisfaction on the job. Way to go Natrol employees!
